Hello,
im facing a engine rebuild after big end bearing went and piston smashed in cylinder.
i have now every thing i need, but i have been told that the cranks will need to be trued, is that essential for the bike to run propperly??
how can i doit???

any help apreciated!1

Basically - yes.
If you just put it together yourself without the correct jig it will likely be slightly out of line.
Even a small amount can cause serious problems.

There are plenty of places that will do it for you for a not too silly fee if you give them all the parts.

I can't remember exact details, I'm afraid; I did call up a couple of people when I was looking in to it.
I think you'd at least need the correct jig, but it'd probably help to be know what you're doing too.

i think a call to the local bike shop to see if they doit, was thinking to doit miself now in christmas; seems like it will have to wait!!
