Suddenly we have a blizzard raging outside, an inch of snow in five minutes of it starting. Shocked

I am about 30 mins as the crow flys from you ... and its been a white out for the past hr or so.
Clear skies now ... looks like its going to be a lovely sunset.
The roads are worse than the last drop of snow currently ... loads of cars sliding about and not getting up slight inclines.

They are prediciting the worst snow tomorrow.
In the words of the yoof, and one which makes me grind my teeth eveytime I hear it,: "whoop whoop".
I love snow .. and on my birthday too Smile

Yep, we had that a tad earlier than you. The weather front was heading West to East so hit Dorset about midday just as I headed out on the Serow! Rolling Eyes

It was quite entertaining on the lane and even more so on the main roads. I've just got back and am completely numb and I didn't even feel all the grit thrown at me by the big lorry going by! Crying or Very sad

I had to go out, as I needed to get the bike fixed for tomorrow's rideout which is now cancelled and Sunday's which will probably be cancelled - hey ho, at least the bike is all fixed and ready to go!! Dance!

.......my front sprocket was a bit 'gummy' - no teeth missing, but a little bit worn down - at least I now know how to change it all though Embarassed

It's not snowed much around B'ham but it's cold enough that what's fallen is turning to ice on the pavements. I just slid down a couple of long hills on the pavement while standing on a hubcap, it really livened up the journey home Laughing

Well about 2.30pm we were hearing reports that Horley, Gatwick areas were white over, whilst in Haywards Heath it was clear blue skies, and no sign of anything.

By 3.15pm it was thick blizzard...! And as it was a staff meeting, people were coming in from all over the county, I heard that the Crawley staff weren't coming in because of snow falling, and sticking. One assessor turned up and said she'd skidded onto the A23 at Crawley, and I thought 'crikey I have to go home that way... Shocked '

Anyway, I braved the minor roads home-bound and eventually got the A23, and to be honest, it wasn't too bad. My little auto performed brilliantly...much much better than the MkII anyway. So I got home, pulled up the hill into the estate, and I might well stay here. I don't care if I get snowed in. Cool (it was getting snowed out, I was worried about).

Been falling most of yesterday and all today so far.

Managed to do my journey on the MTB and did the 7miles. Cars were at a standstill the whole way.

Ice everywhere.

Was just a tiny dusting when I went to bed lastnight but it's been snowing all day and there is a good 6-7 inches all over, best effort of the last few years.
