It doesnt really need anymore power. Sounds more like you need to learn to ride it correctly.

All ive done to mine is gone down a tooth on the front sprocket (15t standard, changed to a 14t) and stuck a scorpion end can on.

Keep ontop of the periodic maintenence and it should be fine.

They dont really do much below 8krpm's, so on track at least, you should try to keep it above that mark to get the most from it.

A heavier crank will give a slower revving motor, but give the impression of more torque due to the greater rotating mass. The cams should be reprofiled to reduce the overlap, which will make the engine less efficient at high RPM but more efficient at lower RPMs, the inlet ports shouyld be shortened and reprofiled to flow the correct amounts at the RPMs you want.

Oh yeah, your not gonna do this, I wish people would stop misusing the word 'tuning'

Change the gearing, ride around it or change bikes. Making the motor into something it wasn't designed to be will require you to be as good as kawasakis design engineers. Or make it much worse.

run a tank with some silkolene FST (fuel system cleaner) just to make sure the fuel system is clean, it'll get rid of all the shit in the system and make your bike run better at all revs

Mine would pull ok from 2k, but it needs to be kept over 6k to make it pull well and feel lively IMO.

I would think that a -1t front sprocket and a 4deg ignition advancer would really liven it up at low rpm though. You might be better runing 98-99RON fuel if you fit an ignition advancer though.

A race can, decent filter and a dynojet kit properly set up, doesn't add or reduce performance in the midrange, but it adds around 4bhp more from 8000-12000rpm which is about as much as you'd want to do to a 600 anyway.
