This morning the boy tipped his lego boxes out all over the office floor.
This horrified Mrs. Silky ... who began chanting the usual mantra: "make sure you clear that up" + "I bet thats still there when I get back". Rolling Eyes

To me the noise of thousands of lego bricks spilling onto the floor is almost erotic ... a great crescendo of plastic bricks.
So far we have made assorted cars and space ships ... plus a motocross bike.

But my greatest triumph has been the following:

Once me and the lad are bored of this we will go and play in the garden .... obviously leaving the Lego on the floor.

I bought a Lego game called creationary, and added a bucket of Lego to it. It's like charades but you build things with Lego and people have to guess what it is. It's mega fun lol.

It's quite expensive but really great craic, and you really do need another bucket of Lego to go with it to make building things easier.

Examples, the cards have 4 things on them, and you roll a dice to select building/animal/machine etc

You will regret leaving it on the floor when you walk back in and stand on it Shocked It's like some form of torture.

Sadly we gave away our lego years ago... had a massive box full of it though, bout the size of one of those small recycling bins.

Likewise. My cousins kids got it, and now my other cousin has just had a kid, so I'll have to wait for 14 years before I can get it back Crying or Very sad

Just tell them that specific lego box is from a year when they were coated in a harmful substance to make them shiney. If the bairns were to put them in their mouths then they may die. Then just say you will get rid of them.

Be a Man, go to Toys r Us and get a big box of it. Put it on the table and spend the next six hours making something. Men can have toys.
