See, the thing with piccalili is, it only tastes nice with cheese. Take cheese out of the equation then it's kinda pointless.

Haven't had cheese or piccalili for a very loooong time. Sad

Yes: faded piccalilli.

I read this thread yesterday, and when I went to Londis earlier, I thought, "Yeaahhhhh, piccalilli and cheese on toast!" - a perfect 5-inches-of-snow sort of dinner.

So I went round to the condiments section and there was ONE jar of piccalilly there.

It was a weird sort of clear colour, as opposed to that vibrant yellow of the usual sort.
So I thought "Hmmm, must have taken out the colour cos of the E numbers" ...

... I went to pick it up and as I turned it round to find the price tag, the other side of the jar had bright yellow piccalilli inside it.

Yeah, sell by was April 2011

I was tempted to shake it and see if it recoloured, but I guess if you just stirred it round a bit when you got it home, it would prolly colour up nicely again ... bit o turmeric or something, couldnt tell the difference.

Try it on the side next time you're having beans on toast. Good stuff. Pickled beetroot goes best with cheese

no no no - What you want with your cheese is:

some fresh warburtons bread (x3 slices),
some honey roast ham from the butchers
some hellmans mayo (inferior brands are available)
and a whole packet of Quavers :

Where is the cheese taste? It is a pickle in a yellow sauce. It is nice.

Try it with pork pie, that is what it is made for IMO.

You can however use salad cream ... if you claim it was put on your plate by mistake and you will be " slapping the bit*h that put it there".
Then quickly distribute it about said plate and claim you "have no choice but to eat it now".

Any further advice on how to be manly .. just drop me a pm !

Mayo? Salad Cream? If anything was to convince me I was slurping down the Devil's cum it would be those two products.

Ariel, should have put some of your Dragon's Bollocks sauce on the Piccalilli, then you would have had burn hot vinegary, crunchy jizz Razz
