Went on Saturday to do my CBT, got there. Weather was ok, bit chilly but was ok, started to talk me through the main bits of the bike etc, got on the bike. Did a few things (Emergency stop, U Turns, Riding through a slalom etc) at this point it was snowing so we carried on, did turning at junctions and using indicators. All I had to do was put all this together and go out on the road and show the instructor that I could ride the moped confidently. But he then said that he may not be able to take us out on the road because of the snow, so he said wait and i'll go check the roads on my bike so off he went, came back and told us all to go home and we'll do the road bit another day.

Was abit cheesed off but better safe than sorry eh?

Thanks for reading.

Wait for the hilarious and utterly under-used "Cool Story Bro" pics and the incredibly amusing people who post them repeatedly.

Can't help the weather, I assume he won't be charging you any extra? I asked we cut my cbt short, we went for a ride to hein gericke then he said long way or short way home. Rugby was on and the bike was a p.o.s so short way it was Wink

Nah he won't be charging me any extra for it, the instructor has been quite understanding actually. He said when the weather clears up, he'll come and get me from my house and get a few bikes out of the van and go for a ride and then hopefully I can complete my CBT and get out on the roads.

Problm is though, that now the roads are icy because the snow are on them. And if they are gritted they turn to slush.

Just imagine for a second that he took you out onto the roads and you binned it. You'd now have a messed up leg and be on here complaining that the conditions were unsafe, that you'd lost all confidence in being on a bike, and that you didn't think the school were going to let you redo your CBT as you road rashed their bike. Personally i'd have taken you guys out and told you to ma the fuck up when you complained. Luck for you your instructor sounds like a level headed sensible chap Laughing
