speeding tickets......... advice needed

just got in to be greeted with two NIP's,

one for 09/12/10 the other for 10/12/10

both say vehicle speed was 60mph when the limit was 50mph.

with both letters is an attached leaflet saying i might get off with a speed awarness course if i fess up and fill out my name admitting i was driving.

was just wondering what would happen in these circumstances, i.e will both cases be delt with seperately?

FYI both were from the same place, by a portable camera, and i was in my van, same sorta time each day too Sad

any advice??

1 speed aweness course and since (where i live at least) you cant do more than 1 course in ...... some length of time or other, youll get 3 point for the other. no worries Thumbs Up

Reply that you will do the course to both of them and see if you will slip through the net. I you don't then it will be either one course and one fine or two fines.

My manager was saying she did one of the courses, if she gets caught again she'll get 6 points rather than 3.

you dont get the option to do the course, they have to offer you the chance to do it !

NOT TRUE.
Although if you do the course, you're not supposed to do another within three years.

Both will be in the same area so I doubt you'll get away with it. (nothing to lose by trying though)
Don't forget, you will have to reply to both NIPs within 28 days, (keep every bit of paperwork, including the envelopes they came in, and send the NIPs back special or recorded delivery) And 60 in a 50 is pushing it for the offer of a speed awareness course anyway. Quite a few areas only offer them for lower level speeds in 30 limits.
And sadly, they will certainly treat it as two seperate offences.

not try and question them at all?
they was both in the same place same time one day after the other by a portable camera, i still cant believe i didnt even see it, as usually you can visably see the speed camera van as your coming up to it, but i didnt have a clue it was there or even caught me...

You have no choice to not reply to them seperately, as both will contain S172 declarations which must be answered. As for challenging them, unless there is a fatal error on the traffic order for the road, or thelocation they give is not specific enough, then these tickets are very difficult to fight (absolute offence)
