Its not a terrible movie, and judging by the usual standard of motorcycle flicks its actually OK. Its definitely a comedy, and there are a few biking culture aspects that it nails squarely.

I enjoyed it, if I were to estimate the rotten tomatoes rating I'd say something like 60%.

{edit} Just looked, and its actually 14%. Embarassed

I thought it was very tongue in cheek, and didn't take the stereotypes seriously.

Although I especially didn't like the cameo by Paul "Twatell" Snr ... but being able to ogle Ray Liotta in any shape or form is never a bad thing.

Not unlike that incisively gripping biking documentary "Biker Boyz".

did you really mean to say that as seriously as it sounded?? as if the type of movie this is, is somehow in question?

It's a Disney film. If you go into it knowing that fact, you will know what to expect, and disappointment can be sidestepped.

It delivers precisely disney's cuddly world view.

I watched it once on a boring weekend afternoon, it doesn't warrant a repeated viewing, or even an intentional one.

What I'm saying is, it isn't a sharp satire on middle aged biking culture. Saying that, the snipes it makes at middle aged biking culture are funnier than some of the 'gags' in the movie.

Funny film, watch as a piss take rather than a biker film.

Err, so it's not a documentary about the mindset of the typical Harley rider?

Well, it kind of is, because it actually does show the kind of middle aged person who rides a harley and uses an Apple laptop etc...

It's gotta be a comedy............they ride Harleys. Where the Hell does the media get this fixation about Harleys from ?. Whenever you see a picture in the tabloids of some brain-dead, big-titted bimbo draped over a bike it's always over one of these US 'Dumptrucks'. Must be because they're such an 'unthreatening' piece of whatever. Confused

From the Harley Davidson marketing department, of course.
