Can't get onto ebay to check completed listings, as my good lady's bought my slightly delayed xmas present off it and it'll ruin the surprise if I log in.

So, in the local classifieds;

S Reg
47k miles
MOT Sep 2011
Heated grips
Top Box
Apparently runs good

£750 ono.

Assuming Hpi checks come back clear - that's got to be worth a punt, and generate a reasonable profit come Spring doesn't it? Or do the big old buses not hold their value at all?

Biketrader classifieds would suggest that it is - but the prices on there for most things can be a bit silly...will get the girlfriend to do the completed listings thing on ebay when she's back from work.

If it's still there, and all the paperwork checks out then I might go and have a look I think.

There's almost nowt you can do to a Blackbird. I abused the hell out of mine on a for 7 years. I spent next to nowt on it, just basic maintenance (plus the aftermarket cam-chain tensioner at about 40 quid), put 60 thou on it, and had a bloody ball. I got rid of mine purely 'cos I'd had it for so long, and fancied a crack at something completely different.

I'm also not at all like most Blackbird owners, as they tend to be pretty fastidious maintenance and cleaning wise. If it's in half decent nick externally it'll probably be all fine under the hood!
