I had a JVC unit, simple thing, quite old but did the job fine for what it was and now I need another (since it was nicked).

I need to find out if new fascia will fit on the old 'body' i still have or just get a new complete set.

If the latter, what's best?

I dont have an ipod I use my phone so Aux In is a must, a nob for volume is also ideal and since it's just a stereo i dont plan using any amps/sub boxes etc with it so no fancy features needed...

Ideas? Smile

You can't swap fascias between models, you can't even swap them between the same model because they're coded to the radio otherwise there'd be no point having removeable fascias to prevent theft if you could just replace them.

Aldi are selling an MP3 unit cheap now, their ones are usually pretty comprehensive with MP3/WMA, USB and SD card slots with aux in and bluetooth.

Halfords always seem to have sales on, I bought a Kenwood one a few months ago when I bought my car, very good value for money. Especially now there is Jan sales on you should find a cheap one very easily.

Cheers Phoenix, I didn't want to spend cash on Ebay for it to arrive and not work Thumbs Up

I was in there 2 days ago Ol, asking the lad on the boy racer desk but he said "err, um, we only stock the latest lines" in a dopey manner so I decided a not-so-new one from U-Pull-It for 15quid was in order Cool Can't justify proper cash on a stereo atm, iv got bike bits waiting to be bought for a start..... Neutral and I just wanted my old one.

EDIT; was a JVC KD-G612
