2007 Honda CBR600RR

Purchased prior to the Winter, just brought it out to get some schnaps. Only additions have been the R&G bungs, previous owner has added all the trick bits, including the reflective eyelets which I think are quite smart, a Puig double bubble screen and an Accumen Gear Indicator. Love it to bits, total monster, can't wait for the Spring.

Think it needs any essential modficiations?

Cheers for the comments fellas, just a shame its had to be locked away for the past 2 months!

The reflective tape is actually above both headlights, it's pretty much the same colour as the bodywork and just blends right in so you barely see it, it's the flash of the camera which has set off the right hand side.

I'm quite fond of the stock exhaust, but I may consider an Akrapovic in time as they look quite good.

I think I need a tail tidy, as the standard unit looks oversized compared to the body itself of the bike, just the prices that put me off, you're talking about 170£ for a steel bracket.

Would like to get some engine covers, to prevent scratches and the like. Totally skinted.

Lovely bike mate, looks really nice.

I do like the standard exhaust on those, as you say the only thing I'd do is a tail tidy, it does look very clumsy.

Gorgeous bike though, what's it like to ride?

as for tail tidy's have a look at harris ones, bout £70 iirc but there extremely well made.

nice.... a guy at my gyms got one of these..
i dont think you need a tail tidy.you wanna get a seat cowl and the exhaust doesnt upset me. its alot of money for some pretty can that you can barely see and why make your bike louder?they sound good now..

It's lush to drive, power is instant and smooth. I've only once brought the front wheel up but because I was positioned for going fast it didn't really cause much surprise. Gets its second wind at 9krpm, if you twist your wrist at 9,000 you take off, the bike pulls twice as hard, it's unreal. It is a total thrill sitting on this monster, hearing its thrum reverberate off the buildings and then as you leave town, opening the power up, nothing like it.

It's also very light when you're on it, dead easy to chuck it around, but booling it about the garden can work up a sweat.

Only really bad point is I get sore arms and hands when I've been riding for a couple of hours, I think it's vibration through the bars and the pressure of my bodyweight bearing down on my hands. Apparently weighted bar ends can help reduce this, certainly never used to get this on my 125 nor when cycling.

The previous owner has painted half the chain red for some reason, not sure why, it's in good condition, perhaps he just didn't get around to finishing it.

Had a look at the Harris and unfortunately I don't think it carries a tail light/brake light. I'm in two minds between the R&G or Evotech, they're both alright, don't particularly appeal but might look better once on the bike.

You can get slip on exhausts which aren't as pricey as the full system, basically just the muffler and end pipe, they make the bike look awesome I think but yeah, it's still a fair wedge but probably worth it in the long run to prevent corrosion, does Titanium stand up as well as Stainless Steel to high exhaust temps?

I didn't mind the sound of mine stock.

Nice bike, I'd only remove the stickers, make sure I'm happy with the rubber hoops fitted and add a tail tidy.
