Just been down to the local bike shop and asked for some oil for my RS125... Anyway he said it needed 2 stroke fully synthetic, he handed over a blue bottle with morris written on it and a scooter on the front lable. It cost £8.95

This is the same stuff i used to use for my scooter, is this ok for my RS125?

should be fine, i mean its fully synth, and scooter engines work on the same basics as your aprilla 2 stroke engine. i think it will b fine. i wouldnt pay that much for it.
I buy castrol TT fully synth for £6 a litre.
I dont really like to spend to much on oil. And to be honest i dont really push the bike, so the oil i buy is fine for the sorta RPM i do.

Hi

Time to come out with something fairly contraversial. I use Silkolene Comp2 Injector, which is not a fully synthetic (it is a semi synthetic I think). This works fine, but might give a slightly shorter engine life. However, at £5 a litre the saving over fully synthetic should pay for the main bearings to be done a bit more often.

Being honest the best top speed I have ever got out of my RS125 was 115mph, and that was running on Castrol fully synthetic oil, against otherwise 112mph (both indicated)

All the best

Keith
