Brand new tyre help

Getting my first new tyre (rear) fitted next week, I know you use to have to be very careful and run in new tyres, what are they like now or should I still be very careful for how I ride for the first 50 miles or so, thanks!

They usually advise you to be careful for the first 100 miles.

Just take it easy and no knee down action for a while

You 'll see the new tyre has a somewhat shiny surface
this can be slippery so you need to 'scrub it in' by riding it

Ride easy until the area in contact with the road gets scrubbed
