After retrieving the Momo from its dusty hole, cleaning it up and hooking it up to the PS3 and GT5 for my son, I thought I'd reinstall GRID on the PC and revisit its sublime charms and see if it was as good as I remembered it. It is. All the graphics maxed out, volume up loud, it rocks.

Yup, grid was arcadey, but it was a special type which made it fun. But I did think that the destruction derby was ruined by the arcade type driving.

Rather play Destruction Derby great fun!

Grid was too arcadey for me, big GT fan, Forza 2 was pretty good.

Pabbers says this, that it's arcadey, but I can't see it? I know the damage is pure arcade, but the actual driving physics...arcadey? It's a full-on simulator in my opinion.

Grid is superb. Scratching shiney cars to a V8 soundtrack. Plus its rather cheap to buy these days.

Its just the right mix of arcade racing and simulation.

I always imagine the race engineer voice is Bruce Campbell from The Evil Dead movies/Bubba Ho-Tep/Burn Notice.

GRID is my fave ever racing game... that isn't GT. OOH did anybody ever have tourist trophy? Just like GT4 but with bikes, that was an awsome game on PS2.
