For those that Spray their own Tank & Fairings......

Just wondering where you guys source your paint for a decent quality finish without breaking the bank ??

I'm not talking about aerosol's, more auto paint that I can put through a spray gun.

I've read conflicting views on the web and hopefully you guys can shed a bit more light on it ???

I'm assuming you have all the compliance equipment, HVLP, air fed mask, extractor etc?

If not, it's getting hard now; most major paint suppliers won't touch non compliant products (there's a big fine in it for them) but you can still find a few that will supply cellulose and others, although you might find you're limited on available colours.

It's back to searching the web for suppliers, none of mine do the old stuff.

I've got a decent mask and will be spraying outside, using the world as a giant extractor.

I know, I know.... dust free environment etc etc... but I value my lungs more than the occasional fly dropping in to be sick on my belly pan.....

I suspect what'll happen is that I'll just order some cellulose from the Web, but would still apprectiate anyone suggesting brands or suppliers which they've found give a decent finish.....

cellulose cant be painted in the cold needs to be as warm as poss 2 pack can be painted in the cold but will take an age to dry

It's water based so I guess you could get away with using a standard filter mask instead of a complete air fed system?

However, it would need a clear coat and that might put you back into air fed territory.
