Suspicious Car - Help!

Last night at about 9:00 pm a car pulled up outside my house, a bloke got out and rang the doorbell, i glanced out my window to see who it was but withit being dark i couldnt see... as i watched, a second bloke got out, seemingly being beckoned by the first... they then pounded loudly on the door as if trying to get attention from inside the house.

They then started having a nose through the windows before finally buggering off.. AS they left i managed to write down the no. plate and what i thought the car was:

FD10 XRX - Citroen Xsara Picasso

Could someone get me details on that car please? Reg plate is a definite, make a model is a tad iffy. The reg plate i caught when stationary, the make and model as the car pulled away quite sharply..

Plate supposedly belongs to a Vauxhall, 1.7L Black and diesel. Doesn't say which model, possibly a Meriva. Just report it to the police, it may have even been the police.
