hmm, time to change the transmission oil on my bike. Any1 know if i can pick the oil up in a normal petrol station or do i have to pop down to a bike shop?
And if ne1 in the hounslow area, feel free to come down and help me figure out why my bike keeps making wierd noises Sad

Also looks like i might be making a move to cars until next summer. Bike not really suitable for the work and evening uni combination at the mo (well i'll be riding til september Smile Anyone know if there are any car insurers that let you carry your NCB across from bike to car?

Is generally better to use specific bike oil. You can use normal car oil, but I've had problems after doing so, but some people use it all the time and havn't had problems. It can cause problems as in a bike engine the clutch has oil in it, and car's don't so it can cause clutch slip which isn't good at all.

For NSR gearbox oil just go for a bike specific semi synthetic 10W40 or similar engine oil. They sell it in petrol stations, although it is rather overpriced there. It should say how much you need on the side of the engine.

I don't know of any insurers that let you carry your NCB across. Just do the usual thing, call all of them and do online quotes too. Some will give you silly quotes, and others will just be unreasonably expensive.

And its Mendoza, not Medoza.
