I am looking to purchase a sports exhaust for my 05' speedfight 2 50cc, currently it has everthing standard on it but is de restricted and goes about 42mph, i was wondering will i need to increase the main jet size? and what size to if i buy either a Doppler S3R or a Leo Vince ZX.
Also what weight rollers would be best to use for these exhausts, and what exhaust would you recommend.

Sorry, its a lot to answer, any help please, thanks.

I put a Doppler S3R exhaust on my Aerox and you will definitely need to upjet it. It came with rollers but you need to derestrict the exhaust yourself, just a case of knocking a few tack welds off and take a pipe thing out the silencer.

I bought mine from adrenalin ped stop and they were quite helpful actually, rung them up and they gave the right jet to go with it and it ran fine.

I had a Doppler pipe on my SF100, and i wasn't that impressed with the quality or the loud noise from it TBH. I'd go for a quality chromed pipe like a high end Gianelli or Leovinci pipe.

Expect a fair bit of hassle and messing about/tweaking to get the jetting right, and the roller weights and clutch engagement speeds right for the pipe. It's possible but hard to get a race pipe equipt scooter to pull away as quick or quicker than std, and have decent acceleration, but it's sure as hell a bitch to get right. You might find that the std Variator is not up to the job and requires an aftermarket replacement, but try keeping the std one to start with at least.

All the above might gain you 4-6mph more, and faster acceleration for your trouble, if you get it spot on. Worst case scenario would be a bad set up that loses you performance over std, and makes more noise and with less reliability thrown in too.

42mph? not derestricted properly or something is wrong, I used to work in a peugeot dealership and derestricted a few in my time, even with my large frame on they would do 50 on road test after being done, then skinny teenagers half my size would see 55 plus on the same bike, I would say a new exhaust won't make it go faster, I would have a look at it first make sure the standard rollers, ramps and variator are ok and the derestriction has been done properly.
