Bike is no longer smooth!..Your advice please!!

HI...

My bike went for it's first service today.....
my Fiance brought it back at 6pm declaring that it was 'not right'! Sad

Apparently...he said...it was slightly 'jerky' to ride....especially whilst crawling in slow moving traffic...

I, of course, declared death on the stupid service people yelling "If they have wrecked my bike...blah..blah.."!!!! Twisted Evil

....and thus got changed to go for a spin to locate 'jerkiness'. Shocked

Now....when I pulled off...fine...no problems....
at roundabouts....seemed fine to me....but there WERE points during the ride that I found the bike sort of 'revved up and down for no reason' is the only way I can describe it Shocked

One of these times was going down a hill at about 40mph....another was on the flat doing about 50mph.

There is no trouble with acceleration and speed...it picks up just as fast as usual.... but the ride is no longer SMOOTH!
Which is a shame Sad

I feel like it is a different bike! Crying or Very sad

Could they have done something to the throttle ??
The engine sounds a tad different to me, although I cannot pinpoint it.

Anyone have a clue ??

We are going to call them in the morning...but I hope we don't have to take it back as it is 20 miles away!

If they changed the air filter it might not be seating properly, giving you an intermittent small air leak. That would cause a little throttle surging sometimes.

Was it the first service or just a normal service?

It is a very slight jerkiness...but you can feel it all the same

Could just be that they tensioned the chain and did it a bit tight. Chat to the garage in the morning.

I would guess they have adjusted the mixture slightly and have got it wrong, slightly.

How about the weather?
If it is anything like here it's Hot and humid, engine won't like that at all.

unsure of cause....bike seems to have corrected itself ....

The throttle DOES seem more sensitive...but after 3 runs out the jerkiness has gone Thumbs Up
