Free petrol?

Filled the car up with Petrol this morning - £80 ish. Did the pay at the pump thing, put my debit card in but it didn't ask for my pin number as it usually does. Said card approved so I brimmed it.
Got a receipt printed which says paid by card number ending #### - didn't put the numbers like the other receipts have.

Checked my balance and it doesn't show it debited like it usually does. Reckon I've got a tank full of free petrol or do you think I'll get a nice letter in the post from Tesco saying I owe them some moola?

It will usually take a day or 2 to show up on your account.

I would suggest you keep a minimum available balance that is a couple of quid greater than the value of the fuel you bought this morning.

No, the only way any cheeky sod can use a stolen card in a "Pay at Pump" is if they have the pin.......

Don't count on it. They all do that - for some reason with pay at pump things it just takes a few days to be debited.

Last time I used pay @ pump I had to enter my pin. That was at Shell though. Wait and see what happens.

Just been to fill up the other car, had to put my pin in and it's debited the account already .....fingers crossed for this mornings fill up

I've always had to enter my pin since chip and pin was introduced for pay at pump, it often says limited to £60 but it'll go past it, £60 used to be 60 litres but it wouldn't fill half your tank these days.
