I know alot of you have desk jobs etc. So this might give you a quick something to read/follow.
My last post giving a bit of a lecture on design got a good response so Im giving y'all the chance to follow me on my big design journey! Both of the following have just been strarted this week, one of which is a live project which I am really excited about (if your a guitarist it might also tickle your fancy!).

I will probably also be starting a personal design blog to keep track of my own design ventures; but this will need to be backdated almost 2 years now. (There will be a feed on twitter about this).

My personal twitter is Life By Design

I also have a shared design blog with a flatmate of mine for my current project which im quite excited about which you can also follow Acoustic Artifacts

As to the "Sony Rolly in Motion", its a plastic thing that rolls around with some RGB LEDs inside and that makes the most annoying sounds ever. That would only sell to a Mac user.

BTW, its not spelt "analouge"...

Also

"Im currently thinking along the lines of making some sort of visual representation of music.
Since guitar is something that I attempt to play every now and then – Im choosing this as a medium (for now)."

Even Windows Media Player can visualise music.

I wouldn't mind a boat too if you are making a couple.

I want it to be called 'Wet Dreams' and have a crows nest.

Yeah definetly not something I would ever buy for myself. It was more a point to make about the digital to analog (thanks!) interfacing I was impressed by.

Im aware of this but I'm planning on having it in a less vague medium. Im more interested in the patterns that the notes may hold - Ie. if I were to display the notes on a giant LED layout board - what would that look like?

The project is still in its very early concept stages - the beauty of it is that it may end up something completely different by the end. Within the next week I'll be generating 100 ideas to do with this breif; inevitably some of these will be what we call 'throw away'. Its just the way we work.

As for lazy people with no jobs - where is the money in desiging for them? Laughing

Kind of boat do you want lads? Although its already been done....More of an engineers job. You could call it "Buoy's deep"?

I'd like a seat which is actually comfortable. Why do seat makers not make affordable office seating to fit lanky people? It's really irritating that I have to suffer because there is not one chair in the office that fits my proportions.

Yes Shaggy that's exactly the lines that I'm thinking of. I'm not interested in the overall wave sound, but more the pattern of the individual notes PLACED on the Fretboard.

As for you Clanger, I totally do feel your pain. Being 6ft4 myself it is annoying that so many parts of the Market don't cater for taller people. However unfortunately that's down to biometric data and research. Unfortunately my field is "innovative" venturing into completely new or out there concepts.
