airbox to carb rubber connector

got a new air box to fit n the cg,but as its bodged the rubber is too long and won't create a seal between the airbox and carb,tryed cutting the end off but the rubber just doesn't go on easily

any ideas of what i could do ?

i'll get some pics soon

Duct tape, or throw the airbox away and pop a cone filter straight on the carb.

hmm can't throw away the airbox as its a battery holder aswell.

Are you saying you can't push the rubber onto the carb properly? Have you tried putting the rubber in a mug of boiling water?

lmao i'm not a gheyer

the rubber is physically too long to go on to the carb,as the 92 frame is different from the 08 frame and won't let me push the airbox back any further

bodged atm with half the rubber connector stuck in the airbox and a rubber bit off a cone filter to attach it to the carb


its going through like 90 degrees

its a 08 airbox and the bikes a 1992,but got a 2008 engine in

just need to get something that seals the airbox to the carb
