hi im doing my das soon so will be selling my baimo rsr 125

the bike has done a shade over 9000 miles from new and has the following work done to it
metal front mudguard to replace the crap original one
its just had a full service
ngk spark plug
sprockets and chain fitted.
new tyres 200 miles ago (a metzler and a michelin due to rim size)
also fitting a givi box in a week

it in great condition no major marks or damage the electrics have been fully rewired so no issues at all (been completely stable for 2000+ miles) and it starts first time 99% of the time (takes about a min when the weathers been bad and i not rode in a few days) i also have a load of mot/service history paper ect

im thinking for the condition and the recent work and parts that £600 is a fair deal what do you guys think ???

thanks fife

probably around 200quid,
save the givi box for your next bike, you'll just be throwing it away if you stick it on the rsr125

For now.

It is inevitable that it will rust and rot into a pile on the floor.

Atleast the YBR should stand a few years of constant crap winters.

I owned 1 chinese bike, it was a pit bike.. it had rust on loads of places. was a 58 plate with <400 miles on it.
Ive had a 1989 KH125 with less rust Laughing

They wont ever sell for much mate. That said... i'll give you £250 Thumbs Up

A givi box and fittings will be worth more than the bike.

1,000,000 zimbabwean dollars or £1.85 and ONE pork scratching.

£600 can get you a CG125 that isn't ancient. Anyone sensible would go for that. It'd need to be pretty cheap (£200-300) or get sold to a total retard TBH.

it may be a good bike, but any chinese bike despite what is is will have (and does have) a bad reputation,
so the price will always be shit,
so keep the bike and use it as a commuter, if its reliable then its not worth selling, you'll never get what you think its worth

my offer would be for the 3 wine gums i was going to use to buy the honda testing ground in california, oh and £18.65 (i came into some more cash! woop) Razz Wink

to be fair chinese bikes are so cheap new it isn't worth a great deal, there are hundreds of them on ebay.

This. "Recent work done", at best, might tempt someone to offer you something for it.

For a 6 year old generic Chinese-branded bike, you'll really will be lucky to be offered what you just spent on the tyres and service, let alone the Givi box. £600 is fantasy money.

That said, you don't have anything to lose by posting it on Gumtree every couple of days and crossing your fingers. Get a patch of good weather, when there's nothing else for sale in your area, and you might get lucky.

For £45 a year (tax and MOT) though, I would be tempted to hang onto it It's not likely to lose much more value now.

I actually have in my wallet a 1000000000000000 (one hundred trillion) Dollar bill from Zimbabwe, at the time it was worth about £6 IIRC.

i'd be very wary selling it to a mate,
when something goes wrong, the shit could hit the fan,
but thats up to you, if some one was willing to pay that for it i'd take it,
but it all migt end in tears

simple thing i live near blackpool bikes get corroded like hell round here so we all look after them weekly be it baimo or blade.
but most the learner legal bike round here are trashed we cant all travel 100 + miles to get a decent cheap bike (christ i saw a 2002 yamaha aerox in naff condition sell for 850 last week :/)
i have done over 3000 miles on this bike with no faults in that time all that has been done is the bikes consumables have all been replaced.
it runs great my mates bike school had 7000 miles out of it with out any problems so i have no fault with selling it on with the way i am if it had say an engine fail int the first 1000 miles after it was sold i would help pay for the new one (they are £250) but thats unlikely as the one the school kept has now done 24000 miles still no engine faults
the bike has all ways been stored under a cover in a garden and the only unusual replacement was the wheel bearing (yes those were crap) they have since been replaced with sks ones

so when i pass the bike on the next rider wont be getting a bargain but will be getting a good tidy 125 that gets 110 to the gallon

yes chinese bikes in generall are crap but this one IS an exception im not saying this model or manufacturing company.would you buy a bike based purely on name or on the condition or the individual bike?????????????

I sense an Inbetweeners moment coming up!

Aren't the engines basically stolen from honda's and then rebadged?

if so...engine good.....the rest is bin fodder.

its an EN 125 rep the en 125 has been built in huge numbers and is a very well proven bike design in asia the only downer on the baimo replica is the shoddy plastics but then again the suzuki en125 plastics are about the same tbh last en 125 i seen the side panels had snapped in the same place as mine where 2 little lugs with small bolts hold them on

stuff that fine on bike
engine
forks
brakes
frame
wheels

stuff thats been a problem
front mudguard (was crap brittle plastic replaced with steel one)
wheel bearings were shot replaced with quality ones
carburetor gasket cracked some how over the 2 weeks of snow and ice we had replaced with suzuki one

the bike as a machine is worth about 350 the stuff added (high quality tyres and all brand new perishables professionally fitted) is what pushes the price up

the tyres were 130 inc P&P and labour as no where near me stocks 2.75/18
the service inc parts labour was £150 (parts changed wheel bearings chain & sprocket kit front brake pads spark plug & fluids
so if i take 550 for it its actually cheap as the bike need no work and nothing doing on it for a while

Take the man's money OP.

There's an old motor trade saying, "the first deal is the best deal".

You could spend months holding out for more, but I think £550 sounds like a damn good price.

According to XE that note is now worth £1,737,018,842,500.06, shame you can't use it anymore, since they suspended the currency after inflation rose by 5billion percent Laughing
