Thinking of getting rid of my 848 and trading downwards.

As I hardly use my bike anymore [but I still want one] what are my options for circa £2k?

It'll be used mainly for commuting but I have no pre-conceived ideas of what type/style of bike I'm looking for.

Should I go for the usual suspects [Bandit etc] or is there a hidden gem for £2k?

Kawasaki ZX9R - fantastic bike, quite practical with an awesome engine

Anyway what do you want? IL4, Twin, Single etc? As most will say just go test riding!

Have you considered a TDM?

I think a TDM900 is about one of the best commuters you can get especially. Barring the coils (which will need waterproofing they are pretty reliable and trouble free, they have adjustable suspension and are really comfy, they are built for taller people are would have thought you would be too small for it if you are under 5'10 5'9. Despite appearances they are light for what they are at 190kg dry.

You should be able to pick an early one up for 2-2.5k

Laughing Laughing Sorry didn't explain myself there...

What I meant is that it will be used for commuting about 2 days a week and that's pretty much it, hence why I don't think the 848 is the best option for me Very Happy

Just having a quick look through eBay, any opinions on a Kawasaki ZR750?
