As always.................. Autocom. used with Motorola T5422 radios for cheap or Kenwood protalks for reliable, but the Autocom is the must. Cheap on ebay for a second hand set or expensive brand new. mine was new six years ago and still going strong, well worth the initial outlay if you are serious about talking while riding. Works upto 5 miles away with the Kenwoods depending on the terrain. the Motorola are ok, but think mor 1 mile and battery life is about half a day, the Kenwoods last all day.
There is Starcom too but the Autocom has proven itself again and again.

I bought a 99 quid walky talkie type with a button to talk since I didn't know how to set up the voice activation thing.

This was when we were on YBR's 125 because we both had insurance problems, and it was good up to 40 MPH, but pressing the button was bloody dangerous.

The other thing, after 40MPH, the sound wasn't so clear and even thoguh it had a range of 8 miles, that was also a lie when we reached 60 MPH and he started losing me because I am 10 KG heavier than him. So he must have been doing 65 or something.

So, get a good one if you want to, but to tell you the truth, I enjoy biking and not having to talk or worry about that, I feel free just following or leading.
