I was looking for the thread a while ago about how fast you have all been but couldn't find it.
I just had my fastest experience today on the back of a friends blackbird. 155mph !!!! The most fun i've ever had.
And you will all argue with me for this part, but I was only in jeans and a t-shirt, with a helmet. Call me a tosser but if I came off at that speed I doubt I would survive with leathers or not.

Probably not, but that guy who came off the kawasaki in the moto gp was doing 200mph or so, and he still survived, sure he had broken legs and whatever, but he still survived. I like to think leathers double up as a bodybag!
But hey, tis up to you, though I guess it is bloody hot at the mo!

it was nakano who came off at 200mph at mugello. And no he didnt break anything!!!! But remember tracks have plenty of run off unlike your average road!! Coming off at 155mph in a tshirt and jeans would hurt very much!!!!!! and if you hit something I think you would end up being viewed by many people on ogrish.com! ____________________ Laura - "And where did looks come into this and bugsy leave steven alone. Speedos are normally inaccurate, and 155mph will be about 140 I would reckon, but find a nice friendly police man and I'm sure he'll be willing to measure your true speed using his special kit, and if you're really lucky he might even let you have a ride in their car and you could even get a free nights accomodation from them.
155mph with a pillion in shorts and t shirt is very very daft! And leathers would make a difference, a big difference. You only get one life so don't play stupid games with it as if there was a crash at 155mph in shorts and t shirt than you wouldn't stand a chance! Not saying I've never taken risks by riding not in full kit, but recent stuff has really bought it home to me how you do only get one chance and no point in fucking that chance up for a stupid reason. |

Fastest I've ever been was quite recently (about 30 mins ago on the M6) The motorway was clear and I managed to get the GS up to an indicated 125MPH (more like and real 110-115MPH?), and it seem to have a few more revs to go but as the bike was bucking and shaking from side to side (probably down to the blown fork seal ) I decided not to take it further. |
