Hi,

My uncle is selling a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge collection of snap-on tools, he has all the spanners, screwdrivers, rachets, sockets... were talking the complete set here.

He even has the huge red snap-on display cabinets for them.

They are in excellent condition as he was a fitter by trade...so his tools were his lively hood, but now hes retired...he has no need for them.

I also believe he has a working air compressor and all the lines etc but i'm not sure exactly how many there.

All the guarantee paper work is in a file that will come with the tools.

Get me a detailed list of what is in the kit with photos and I will have them myself or be able to sell them in about 20 mins.

They dont bring you a new one, you have to go to one of the vans which go around and it is only if they actually break not just if a bit of crome comes off.

The tool box is very tatty and old and is only worth about £400 on its own and as far as the tools go the snap on ones second hand are worth about £150 and the others are just pennies.

Surely that lot is worth more than £150.

A 3 drawer top box is bid up to £100 on eBay.
The 2 rachets will be £30 each second hand (2 on ebay atm).
8mm to 17mm snap-on socket set is up to £36.

I've seen single snap-on spanners go for around £30 too.

Far more than £150.

£4,000 sounds like a reasonable price to insure for to me.

It's a good price if the list is accurate and all the tools are in good condition. Put them on ebay, similar sort of set went for £1500 not long ago.
