Well done mate. I handed mine in at the end of November but had two more assignments to do, which I handed in a fortnight ago.

getting it printed and the printers on monday, bound up to hand in for tuesday! due date is wednesday but i'd rather have a few for any fuckups.. not that there should be any of course

dunno when the result come back! got my last major film project to make after this then uni is done!

Anybody who is really hung up on word count is never going to get a good grade, it's like someone trying to write a good song my making it longer
Mine was 6 months of hard work, THEN i started writing. I spat out 30k words, then chopped it down to 23k before handing it in. It was 3k over the limit but they were never going to count them all

Christ, nine months?! Did not think they take that long, I was under the impression it was a matter of a few months. If you look at some PhD theses, they are up to 80,000 words!

Mine will be bout 17k I think, at the rate im writing, (Hand in in March). Based on a year out, so technically started 2009.

I'll be starting one next week as part of an MSc research project. Fortunately it won't take up much of my free time as it's company sponsored and forms a part of my daily work so I expect it to take a couple of months at most, some lab work is still on going though so that could extend things. Fortunately a large portion is already written up in a rough sort of form as part of my daily work, thank fuck for that because slugging out 10-12000 words is a tedious process at the moment. I look forward to the satisfying feeling you are experiencing now.

My girlfriend handed her's in on Friday; 11,000 words on how water deposits vary with distance from a glacier by using water chemistry and diatom analysis. We went to Norway over the summer and collected all the data. Wild camping for 4-5 days. Was good fun.

I start my group project (worth half my year) this week. Making a remote control car which is controlled via wifi and should hopefully stream video to an iPhone and allow you to control it. Bit like those quadrocopters that where on top gear Christmas special. I am looking forward to it.
