Hyosung GV650...Any good?

Hey again,
this has been one of a few bikes i have been looking at recently and i was just after any thoughts/advice on the bike.

Reviews for this bike are hard to come by so any reply would be appreciated Smile

From what I have heard is they are based on a SV650 suzuki engine with a slightly different tuning to get a little more HP out of them. Hyosung seem to be the best of the bunch when it comes to "budget" bikes and seem to last longer than the chinese tat thats around. (I know I had a chinese tat bike).

Only review I have ever seen about them are on the MCN website

I have never owned one, but as you can get a comparable Suzuki SV650 for the same money I know which I woud buy, and it wouldn't be the Korean bike.

might aswell get a sv650

yambabe off here replaced some shocks on here yam for some off a hyosung as they were shorter and are rusty already after 2 years

There is one of them that rides around here. Think the owner works in the local hospital because thats where they pull out of regularly. Must admit it does look impressive. Has kind of a Harley V rod look about it only not as brutal. But with owning a cheaper bike full of chrome then I can honestly say you will be spending more time cleaning it to stop the chrome flaking off and rusting than you will riding it.

IIRC the GV is the 'Custom styled bike,

the GT and GTR and the SV styles ones.

Avoid bikes pre 2006 and you avoid the rusting issue as the finish was particularly nasty. Mine has no rust on it after 4 years.

As said though the GV has a a lot of chrome so unless you like cleaning, have OCD or particularly want a cruiser then the GT is the way forward.
