I have quite a bit on 50s, but not as much as 125s and not much data on them, I can write down a list of them however, particulally the more obscure early japenese bikes . ____________________ My bike: 1988 Kawasaki KH100 Status: Polluting Devon with two stroke smog and noise pollution!

Oh, and as for top speeds, I cant be exact but from my experiance I would say top speeds of the 50s mentioned would be:
RS50 (2002 model): 58 ish MPH on the speedo
AR50: 45 mph - 50ish I would imagine
DT50: The old Dt50MX would churn out about 45 mph, newer ones would be about 55mph.
RS1: No more than 60 I would think
GPR50 Again about 55 - 60 mph
Senda would be roughly 55mph
RX50: about 55 (although some goon I used to know claimed he once got 70 on the speedo down a really steep hill, the bike blew up shortly afterwoods)
TZR50 (about 55 - 60mph)
GSX-R50: Considering its only got 4 gears and is an ancient 4 Stroke, I would say 40 mph tops.
KTM 50: Dont know much about this, probably 55 mph tops
GSM50: about 55 mph tops again
A quick search on Bike Trader suggests that Sendas go for from £650 for a 1997 one, up to 2 Grand for new ones.
Havent got the foggiest about the KTM's price! ____________________ My bike: 1988 Kawasaki KH100 Status: Polluting Devon with two stroke smog and noise pollution!

Great stuff there badlydamaged. I won't be doing all them 125's as i'm simply far too lazy but i'll take a pick of some of the more popular ones and start writing up next week.
And G - I understand what you mean but the majority of people that are asking about 50's and 125's seem to be asking about the top speeds of them, not reliability. If they were all going for reliability they would ride CG's instead of NSR's. I'm going to put a link up in the thread to https://www.bikez.com as the bikes on there are rated for reliability aswell as lots of other things. (It's where i'm getting most of my information.
Sooty Thanks again for the help. |
