I dont even have a gps.. usually use my phone Very Happy but i know hein gericke do a waterproof jobbie thats cheaper then that, made by streetline around £15 i think..

I always use the clear bit in the tank bag Very Happy although it does slip.. and end up sideways Laughing

Got one.

Previously i put my satnav (phone) in my tank bag and could read it through the map case. I always thought that was fine. Waterproof and easy enough to read, but i tell you, a proper mount and case is so much better. Much easier to read, much less fuss and much more comfortable.

I don't have one but I'm tempted by this because my smokes etc will fit in it as well. (£40 though Confused)

That looks good but would it fit on a sports bike?

You see my plan is to buy a cheap nav off ebay but I'm not sure on the mounting because most seem to be for bars (like Monster, Hornet, Bandit style)

I just got my RAM stem mount yesterday. I wasn't happy with it though! The hole for the bolt wasn't drilled through! So it took me 4 hours using a rather dilapidated drill to get the job done (the battery would only last 5 minutes and took 1 hour to charge! I even had 2!) But when mounted onto the bike, it's an absolute doddle!

Get your mount from there! The 40 quid RAM kits includes ALL the necessary gubbins to fit onto your bike. I even got myself a RAM tripod mount for my camera as well as the Iphone 4 cradle!

I was very impressed with the delivery! Ordered it on tuesday and came yesterday morning!

Hein gericke wanted 92 quid for the same jobbie (just for the iphone mount!) I'd like to know WHO their suppliers are!

You don't get instructions but everything is all on youtube.

I have that one, it's pretty good. Is waterproof and it has straps on the back to attach to your bars. Only criticism is that it can wobble a bit but a few cable ties can stop this on most bikes.

That's what I've got on the tiger, it's not overly big, it works brilliantly but sometimes can get condensation on the inside of the plastic sheet.

Post a pic with it on Codemonkey, so the sports bike riders can see how it's mounted. You just wrapped the straps around the yoke?

Will try and do it tomorrow, but won't be till the evening.

The bag just sits on top of the yoke and a couple of velcro straps wrap around the handlebars if I remember correctly (not used it for a while since getting a phone with satnav). Its small enough that it didn't really interfere with the electrical controls.

I went with a ram aqua box for my sat nav as it's lockable and waterproof.
