It bugs me too, I find it fun to stop, point and laugh when you do get round them.

If you are in relatively free flowing traffic you can sometimes go around their other side. I managed to once and the guy was literally shouting and screaming while punching his steering wheel. I don't get what there is to get so angry about? Confused

I do sometimes "accidently" clip their wing mirror as I squeeze through.

It pisses me off big time.

One time I was coming home from work and a renault espace did it to me whilst I was in moderately flowing traffic. As I went to overtake, he swerved out wildly to block my path whilst staring at me in his mirrors, there was definite intention to his actions. I backed off a little and waited as I new there was a roundabout coming up that always has queuing traffic on it. Once the espace had stopped in the queue, I nonchalantly pulled along side him and gently tapped on his window. He wriggled in his seat a little and stared straight ahead (in that "he's not there" sort of way). I gave the bike a fistful of revs (750 triple through baffle-less exhausts) and he jumped out of his seat. I gently tapped on his window again, making him squirm a little more, did the "I'm watching you" sign before pissing myself laughing and riding past him, through the traffic and away into the distance.

Normally I wouldn't rise to it, but the fact I knew the driver was my wife's former boss who bullied her to the point of her quitting meant I wasn't letting it go. I'd slipped the internal dark visor down too so he had no idea it was me! Little fooker!

It's been going on for a VERY looooong time, no amount of moaning to fellow bikers will change anything. You'd be better off joining a car forum and try infiltrating and teaching them valuable lessons of common courtesy.

You might be very surprised to hear, that MOST car drivers THINK filtering is both illegal and wrong...so they think their action, is to prevent us breaking the law.

Actually they don't THINK, that bikes are ridden by fellow human beings!!!

If you're obs are good, you can pick who's going to do it..

If you're far enough back, you can often swing round behind them to the opposite side where they have now left a huge gap which they can't close because they moved up so close to the car in front.

Give them a wave and put on your best "Problem?" face. If you really want to go out of your way to piss them off, open the passenger side door on the way past.

you gotta feel sorry for the frustrated little car drivers.

they spent all that money on their tin box in order to sit in traffic and piss fuel down the drain, and then some little runt on a bike just zooms past them.

Make it the rear passenger side door if you can. Then shout something helpful like "Oh, your door's open mate." before giving them a cheery wave and riding off. They love it. Thumbs Up

Will definetly try the door one if the oppurtunity arises, the most annoying thing is when you filter past a car and then they find it their job to see how close they can get up your a**e for the next few miles

Screenwash in the face is another thing that pisses me off, but that is something else all together.

Having upgraded from my 125 to my car, i know that bikers will want to come through and dont block them, jet screenwash at them, race them, anything like that, so its not ALL car drivers Smile
Although my rear washer jet is aimed upwards/backwards to encourage car drivers not to tailgate!
If anyone ever blocked me, or overtook stupidly close, went in the wrong lane on a roundabout etc etc, i used to swing a size 10 steely their way. A corsa combo van dents really easily Laughing

I have not come across this and I kinda filtered from london to luton ways though that was a one off.Though I did have a car just pull out in front of me without looking and best of all with no lights on to @ just before 6pm.Told him off as he had to wait for traffic lights further up.My motorway trips have been without hassle so far

If it's happening to you.

You're not filtering fast enough Wink.

Had a few that have either tried it on the motorway or are playing with their make up/phone/dick, but generally just passing as they start to move.

Had a couple commuting in very tight traffic in the last couple of years. One parked on my foot, then moved off it quite promptly and avoided eye contact. The other left a massive gap the other side and tried to have a go at me. If I wasn't trying to get to work on time, I'd have been tempted to pull in front and ride slowly for the next set of lights to be red, to do the nay-sayers thing of slowing everyone down to prove a point Razz.

It's great fun when you're riding with someone else (especially if you have headset/comms). Many's the time myself and multijoy have wound drivers up by waiting for driver to block us, and the other swooping up the passenger side Very Happy
The poor ickle cagers don't know what to do. By the time they've tried to close the gap on that side, t'other manages to get up the drivers side.

Love it!

I use to get screenwashed at least once a day i think, i didn't think they were doing it intentially at first but then i realised that its getting a bit too common to get screenwashed at least once a day, cunts.
