I think that a Thundercat won't be a huge step up from a Bandit. I personally would go for the ZX6R. Its a bit more sporty, a bit lighter, probably just as comfortable and good for tall people.
That, however, is just my humble opinion!

Best way to find out which you find comfortable is test rides, go get some test rides on all bikes your considering then narrow down to which make and model you want and then find a good one to buy. |

Whats the budget for the bike?
Have you looked into insurance as it'll cost more on the ZX6R than a Thundercar so would be worth looking at before making your mind up.
As Keith said, what is the bike needing to be used for as that will really decide which bike is the best one to get.

Personally id got for the honda or the GSXR600. Honda will be a better all-rounder. Gixxers are just damn cool!
not really keen on Kawasakis. Or yamahas, but i wouldnt mind an R6 or R1...
If someones offering... |

there's always a lot of pro-GSX people on threads like these
I however would recommend the zx6r. I think you might find the Thundercat fairly similar to your Bandit (from what I've heard), but the zx6r is a wonderful bike. I love mine, it's sporty and yet not difficult to handle, and comfy as well.
Oh and they look *wonderful* ____________________ "The problem with the French is they have no word for 'entrepreneur' " George W Bush
