I already have a bike however there are times i would like to give it a good clean or work on it but as i need it daily this has to be done in a day and put back.

So was thinking of getting a very cheap bike 250cc and up for a max of say £350 on the road with MOT

Is there much point me looking or is there none as not seen any all i have seen on ebay are non runners or projects

I sold a T+T'd ER5 with 70k miles on but perfectly serviceable for £300 a while ago, so they're out there. Just not as often as they used to be sadly Sad

I'd trawl Gumtree and Friday Ad rather than ebay with that sort of budget.

Super cheapy bikes are out there... Eg:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270661327408#ht_1183wt_1141

And he in turn bought it from me for 360 quid if I remember right Smile

You won't get anything pretty, but the old commuters and bikes that are simply unfashionable are dooable with a little luck and persistence.
