Yes it does, but all it specifys is that it must be 'a white light' no mention of the intensity.
If the tail light sits directly above the numberplate, drilling a small hole in the bottom of the taillight lens and filling the hole with a blob of epoxy resin (which sets clear) will often be sufficient (unless the MOT tester is an arsehole). Many older bikes and trailbikes just have a small hole in the bottom of the taillight lens for exactly this purpose. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
