Went for a ride today on my scoot and got a nod from a bloke on a Harley.
Now I know that bike riders always give each other the nod when they pass each other, but I didn't think this included crappy little 50's.
I know this may sound a bit soppy, but I feel like I 'belong'.
It seems like we all have respect for each other, almost like a family.
You don't see car drivers doing that!

As a fellow learner legal on an R125 - I love getting a nod!

I was told about it on my CBT, thought it was maybe all the cruisers would do it to eachother or something. On my first ride out on my own I got one at the end of my road, and about 3 in the next 5 minutes, I had a grin like Caspa the ghosts fat brother. I'm not too sure why, I think it must be something to do with feeling like you belong or are part of a club or something? Anyway now I do it to anyone except chav's..

Also, if a biker doesn't nod, but just stares with his ninja like eyes, does he want a fight?!

First time I got a nod I had a smile from ear to ear.

There was a chav (you know the sort, feet on pillion pegs n that) on an SR50 scooter or something of the sort infront of me, and I was about 6 or 7 car lengths behind him on my CG.

Some guy rides the opposite direction on what to me looked like a Ninja 636, didn't nod at the scoot but nodded at me.

Good feeling. Soon got over myself though!
