Hi,
One of my project bikes (1993 Honda SH50) I lent to my mum over christmas to learn to ride on. Dropped it off just before christmas, where it sat in the conservatry until i picked it up yesterday. She was too scared to ride it!
Anyways, it ran absolutly fine when i dropped it off, picked it up and it woudnt start.
Having a play this morning, its not firing. Engine cranks over fine but wont fire. Theres a big blue spark at the plug. (New spark plug too) Battery has been on charge overnight as it was a bit low from being sat.
I dribbled a bit of petrol into the spark plug hole, whacked the plug back in and it starts up fine, then cuts out and wont re-start.
Where should i start looking for the cause? Yes, its got petrol in it Its totally standard, no performance exhaust, not jetted, no lightweight rollers, non-twisting subframe
