Squeek squeek squeek, all day long Laughing

Anyway.. im thinking my disc is slightly warped..
When free-wheeling as the disc goes round it makes a.. scraping sound, like the pads lightly brushing the disk, at points though this gets louder, at the same part every time. Is this a sign of a slightly warped disc? Its a bit hard to explain Rolling Eyes

Probably.

Without measuring the runout its hard to say if its a MOT fail or not. A little bit of runout is fine, it knocks the pads back in to the calliper. In your case, based on the description, I would suggest you give them a good check over. If you can lift the front wheel off the ground its easy, just spin the wheel and you should be able to see if there is a problem. You might need to remove the calliper first to allow the wheel to spin.

Don't worry about it, the worst that can happen is the brakes locking up through overheating. Wink

Have you got any brake pad left? The rear drums of the car scrape / squeek etc because theres no material left on the shoes.

Sometimes the wheel hub corrodes under the disc which causes the disc to warp. I would remove it and give it a good clean up.
