Whats the best DVD ripper nowadays?

Not ripped a movie in a long time, used to use DVDdecrypt which has gone the way of the Dinosaur.

I have a mac and windows so either is fine.

Does handbrake do modern encrypted movies?

I've used Slysofts AnyDVD for a good few years now and has always done the job for me no worries. Plenty of torrents available for it all over the place so easy to find.

Sorry, just had a brainfart moment! You would also need to download CloneDVD too as I believe AnyDVD is just for removing the copy protection from the DVD's. I have both working together and have been ripping DVD's to my hardrive since.

Again this is just as easy to find in the usual places.

On Mac, Handbrake and MPEGStreamClip are both good.

handbrake will not remove copy protection

HDdecrypter is stilll the fastest ripper for me. can copy an entire movie from an ancient DVD drive in about 10-15mins.
it is also free.
