Bike Bogs When Pulling Away

Hi there, i have a yamaha jog rr 2010 model, its got 800 miles on the clock ive owned it from new, it takes about 5 seconds to pull away but once it hits 10Mph it rapidly accelerates to 40Mph.

I think it may be the spark plug ? could it be worth a new plug.

Could be worth a try; Iridium might be a good way to go. Might help burn away whatever's bogging the bike down at lower revs!

With 800 miles on from brand new, is it not due or close to being due for it's first service? If so, bring it up then.

Otherwise, I'm sure it's still under manufacturers Warranty? If this is the case, I'd just take it to them.

If it's still in Warranty I'd let them deal with it, Trying to sort it yourself by playing about or changing parts will make any warranty claim much more difficult later on, if it turns out to be something more serious.

Take it to dealer, and explain the fault, they will deal with it then, with no expense to you

I orginally thought that, but my dad bought it for me and he lives a good 60 miles away so i cant really pop in to where we got it from, if it was rollers surely it would have always done this.

Any Official Yamaha dealer should honour the warranty, not just the one you bought it from.
