Internet speed varies with sky

I thought that Sky didn't slow down connection speeds, but..

I am with Sky on an 8mb line. With UTorrents speed log I see that during the night (2am-8am ish) my download speed ranes from 600 - 750 kb/s but during the daytime it ranges from 1-3kb/s

During the day I can't watch youtube (Videos won't even load).

Anyone able to explain what's happening?

Acording to everything I've heard it's called 'PeakTime', just means its awfully slow.

Peak time is around 5-8 I heard.


I'm with Sky, where abouts are you based? Rural, urban?

I'm in the middle of High Wycombe and my Sky's fine execpt for the occasion lag, but not even by much.
