Learning CSS

Does anyone here have some good links for picking up CSS. From the beginning. I've basically got a 'theme' that i want to modify the CSS for.

I have a Wrox book on CSS that isn't bad (Beginning CSS Cascading Style Sheets for Web Design), but there is a fair bit to learn there.

Hi

In which case I would suggest getting a book to work through just to get the basics.

While the w3schools web site is good for reference I am not so sure it makes a good tutorial.

Also, not sure what browser you are using but if you use Opera or Chrome (or Firebug with Firefox) then you can turn on a decent display to examine elements and their CSS. Once you get the basics then this should enable you to work out how existing pages have managed the effects they use.

Lynda.com CSS with HTML is a great video tutorial.

Covers the basics very well, and is easy to understand and follow.

Its the Sitepoint one that the best IMO.
