Just after a bit of advice really.

I noticed some vibration through my footpegs today. I'm not sure if maybe I'm being a bit paranoid since I dropped my bike at a standstill (lol) or if it's a normal thing.

The bike is a Varadero 125, V-twin engine. I think the vibrations kick in at about 3000-4000 PRM, not quite certain. The chain is at the correct tightness and well lubed. The vibrations are there whether stationary or while on the move. I've checked for any rattling fairings and loose bolts but nothing is loose. The engine runs fine and there are no knocking noises. I notice that I've worn some of the paint on the bracket for the footpegs, as I tend hug the bike quite a bit, maybe I'm feeling more vibration that normal because of this?

I'm at a loss as to what it could be really, any suggestions or advice is received with thanks.

It could just be resonance, and the footpegs match the resonance of your engine at 3000 revs.

Having said that, if you have dropped it, check to see if the footpeg has bent and is in contact with another part of the bike which could be causing it to vibrate.

Excessive vibrations are also symptoms of the carbs/throttle bodies being out of balance.

Also check that all bolts are tight and nothing is working loose.

My bike feels like that when I need to change the chain and sprockets!

Even when stationary?

Being a twin I assume that it has two carbs? If that is the case then its worth balancing the carbs.

What sort of mileage does the bike have and when was it last serviced? It may need the valves checking and adjusting. Also take a look at the cam chain tension.
