Hi Guys
Recently bought my ped, on the surface it looked fine, being a novice I did not look at it with a discerning eye, well lets down to the gritty nitty, it did have a k&n filter on it, bit of a bodge.when the rain came which it invariable does in england, it started to run like a dog, splutter, flat spots, lots of twist and no go,
Decided to get a standard airbox put on it as it would no longer run, I had to push it to the garage, they replaced the filter, back tyre and told me there was lots of crap in the carb which they cleaned out, also an advisement to sell as there was no knowing without stripping the engine what further damage if any was caused.go the scooter back 14 days later, had to order a fuel pipe from piaggio, lol,???
before i took the scooter in I noticed the oil warning light would flash intermittently, did mention it to them, they even said it on there sheet aswell as saying the break light was faulty, think they wanted to keep the bill to a minimum for me??
still cost 220 quid with VAT for very little.god its expensive.

finally i will tell you what I am experiencing with the scooter, scooter will start on the plus side, feels a little restricted when you pull away like its wants to launch but cant, finally this clears after 10 secs, noticed if you are on straight road or down hill(obviously) no flat spots but if there's incline and you try to pull away it does not pull away with any conviction, struggles,if its a roundabout its quite scarey as it feels like the bike is going to become stationary, lol, if you have momentum when you hit an incline its fine but try pulling away on incline, its flat, very flat, noticed this every time.also the oil warning light is constantly on now but there's oil there.also there 's vibration through handle bars at 4000 revs, its only 2 years old, why does it have to be this hard, maybe i should sell the scooter..

thats fucking scandless, half an hours work if you take it slow for fucking £200?! jesus

you've got to remember its only a 50 and they struggle up hills like there no ttomorrow

take out the spark plug and see what colour it is,i'm guessing the previous owners put a bigger jet in for the K&N filter so this is why its bogging down.

I did contact the garage that did the work for me, was hoping they would feel responsible and fix it for me, I was told that the reason it does not pull on a hill or struggles to pull away on an incline was due to the performance rollers fitted which are badly worn, do you think this is accurate or a poor excuse, would love to know what you all think, he also said that I would need to find the correct performance clutch rollers to match my leo vince exhaust, any ideas where i can get these, cheers for any help given in advance.
cheers
Paul

Cheers for the link, that was really helpful, I did give them a call and they advised me to buy Polini 19 x 15.5 4.3 grams - currently out of stock though, hopefully have some in a week, I did explain how the scooter is behaving and he said the rollers should fix it, there are a couple more niggles which need looking at, I have noticed between 3-4 thousand revs there's a nasty vibration through front of scooter, feel it on handle grips, also scooter idles at 3 thousand revs which is too much, lol, so there are a few things, if i can do that then it should be fine, cheers for your help dude, if you have any advice please share.
