I reckon I could have done it today with another 1/4 mile to go at, wasn't revved out in top and Elvington is a short track
not quite ready for a turbo yet - although some velocity stacks may be on order for the winter ____________________ 187.3bhp = 201mph |

I only found out today that the rear wheel I borrowed to get a taller sprocket had a plug in the tyre
mind you it was from a turbo zx12r and he had been 196 on it and it has been on the bike for two years
Mr Pants
you can't getmuch above 180mph if you can feel or even hear the wind over the helmet - you really do have to be tucked in to the point of almost not being able to see anything..... it's fun, especially with gusting side winds like yesterday
and yes, I've seen that video, it's pretty cool - although I don't think the 12r was THAT fettled, not like it was a turbo or anything - but still impressive
if I remember rightly, I think the car was beaten by everything, even the completely stock busa ____________________ 187.3bhp = 201mph |

The 12R was lightened with a big bore kit, not got much more spec than that. Judging by the naked carbon fibre showing where I'd expect to see paint around the bike though, I'd say the weight was taken a fair way down Car held off the standard 'busa quite easily, the tuned bikes gave it a run for it's money and the 12R left it for dead.
Just googled it, came back with THIS link, written by the car driver. Sounds like it was a fun day out ____________________ I'm immortal. Well, so far. |
