Hi, are there still big meets in matlock on sundays? I remember going as a kid and now I've got my first proper bike I can get there in under 2 hours so fancy a look around.

Myself and the_godfather rode there from Loughborough last year, then found an epic road from there to the cat and fiddle, and did the cat and fiddle road a bunch of times, then headed home via Newcastle which confused us nicely (Turns out there's two Newcastles).

I haven't been up to Matlock in years, would love to take my bike up there.

its the roads around there that are the fun..you stop there for chips and ice cream..then have a not so sensible ride home... matlock to ashbourne check that road out

lots of plastic bikes, posers and traffic wardens who give out tickets if parked for more than 1 hour,

if you do go watch out for u turning cars/vans as they can't see anything out their window as i found out.


if you go off the beaten track there are lots of better places to visit and a lot quieter.
