Talking purely in a work aspect here.

What is your biggest strength and weakness?

Strength:
Can and will work exceptionally long hours, with no break any day of the week.

Weakness:
OCD about cleaning and organisation, cables have to be correctly wrapped, and hung up on the wall. Tools must be organised.

No wonder you've not had much work lately with a weakness answer like that. If you make it too obvious that you're trying to make your biggest 'weakness' something they would see as a strength, they will think you're a kiss-arse or personality-less cunt.
I done that at my last job interview and noticed their faces had turned to 'fuck this smarmy cunt' mode so quickly blurted 'but i talk too much and like to make stupid jokes'. Made them laugh and needless to say I got the job.

Strength: I can deal with any given situation the job might throw up, even if it's something I can't directly do right now due to lack of experience/equipment/assistance, I can keep the shit from hitting the fan until it can be sorted out.

Many many years ago I went for an interview for a Car valeter/driver at a Volkswagon dealership.

During the interview he pointed out I would need to loose the earings (two small hoops in one ear) as VW have a strict Jewelry policy, I asked why the Receptionist was allowed to wear earings and he said thats because she is female.

I decided I didn't want this job anymore so when he asked the weakness question I replyed

"sniffing cocaine off of a naked prostitute"


Funnily enough I didn't get it.

I am extraordinarily good at dealing with problems presented by complete strangers and getting to the nitty gritty of the problem quickly.

Quite bad at adapting quickly enough to new admin procedures, and my spelling sucks.
