Heard it on the radio the other day, hadn't heard a thing of British Gas themselves. Apparently if you're a duel fuel customer then they will survey your house and install either loft or cavity wall insulation for free.

I've signed up for it as it's worth doing, only the benefit types get it all for free anyway, costs a few hundred quid for the average person.

Got any details? The only thing I could find is this:

...but you need to be over 70 or on benefits.

Cheers I've registered for the cavity wall insulation, I recently insulated the loft, horrible job! I wouldn't have bothered If I'd known I could have had it done for free.

A word of warning though, British Gas are a bit like the Quick Fit of the energy world. Once they get in your home I expect they will go into full sales mode trying to flog you cover and upgrades for all sorts of stuff.
