Could clean that out, bit of elbow greese and some polish, emery cloth etc. if its tough then whip out the brick acid and give it a scrub, should come up like new. Thumbs Up

I did. The reason why I wraped it was that this is the 4th time its happened and I got a bit fed up of doing it.

Correct.

There is no corrosion, never was. I wrapped it because i got sick of bike covers/my boots melting onto it and having to clean it off all the time.

Looks like corrosion viewing small pictures on my phone, presumed that's why you were covering it up due to lack of text just a link to fb photos. Surely there's a better solution cosmetic wise Confused

Regardless of the current lack of corrosion, I'm pretty sure that the exhaust wrap will definitely engender corrosion in the near future.
Also, it looks horrible. Sorry - exhaust wrap never looks good, though.

Would look better still if didn't wrap it but waited 2 minutes before putting a cover on it.
