Whats Stupidest question you have heard, I'll go first cos this creased me up.

FIrstly I swear this genuinely happened and was a genuine question not a joke

Someone asked one of my friends, when changing shims if I can't find the right size can I use a watch battery as a replacement.

I don't like to rip people but seriously this is a bit out there lol

No genuine question is stupid.

I have been asked questions by stupid people who were going to do nothing with the information that they were to be given. or questions that sole purpose was so the person asking the question could talk about their stuff.

Worst one i've had off a mate was;

I was looking at a reju rs 125 thing on ebay, he looked over and said thats nice, is that a bandit?

WTF he lives with me and sees my bike every day. You dont need any knowledge of bike to spot the difference just general observation skills would do lol.

I was asked what sort of supercharger I had on my CBR Confused when I replied it was my camshafts making the noise said bod insisted he could hear the (non existant) supercharger whining.

It wasn't so much the question that was stupid, it was the insisting it was there after being told what was making the noise Rolling Eyes

A personal favourite is when people ask about how they can upgrade their powerbands.

'My mate says I can buy a bigger powerbands that's like number 8, where can I get one?'.

Then they try to tell you that all bikes can have powerbands fitted.

I have to laugh everytime.

I once had some kids run over all excited to look at my quite loud NC30. They look disappointed when they get to it and i heard one say to the other "Awww, it's only a V4!" Sad

Not a question, just a general facepalm moment.

Outside college there was a few ped boi's about. My exhaust usually rattles a bit on startup, sounds a little weird for a few seconds.... But anyway.....
I start it up and this kid says "sounds like it's only running on 2 that laaa"

Can't argue with that Laughing

I had one lad ask me if it was a 500. Not so much a stupid question, as he was correct, but the big 5 on the side is a pretty big clue as to what engine it has.

I have taken my sister out for a ride on several occasions and one day she decides to ask me if my bike is a Kawasaki, I would have thought the 'Suzuki' sticker on the side would have been a clue..

A few years ago I met someone and the conversation went like this:

Him - "So, you're interested in bikes then?"
Me - "Yer"
Him - "My Dad's got a bike, takes me out on it all the time"
Me - "That's cool. What bike does he have?"
Him - "Dunno, a red one"

Was talking to a mate about why his bike was running rough and was cutting out, I told him to have a look at the plugs and see what sort of condition they are in. He replies with "Naaa that won't be the problem spark plugs are only used to start the bike"

Not so much a question as an action - mate of mine had a Suzuki scooter thing, like the Cubs but 2T. He was kicking it over with the head off because he wanted to start it up and watch the piston going up and down really fast Neutral When I laughed (and laughed and laughed) he said 'Oh, won't it start without the head on?' Rolling Eyes Laughing
